ACTG 6860- Accounting Internship

The Accounting Internship course allows graduate students to earn 3 credit hours while gaining valuable real-world experience in the accounting profession. This course lets students apply and expand their classroom learning in a professional environment, develop essential career skills, and stand out to future employers with valuable experience before graduation.

Course Prerequisites:

Approval of the program director and instructor approval of a plan of activities with the associated employer prior to registration.

Students taking this course agree to:

  • Meet with the course instructor and M.Acc. director as requested.
  • Work a minimum of 250 hours during the internship.
  • Successfully complete the internship as approved by the course instructor.
  • Perform professionally and comply with employing company’s policies and regulations.
  • Submit required course materials by the designated due date as outlined in the course syllabus.
  • Request employing company to complete and submit Employer’s Performance Evaluation of Intern form.
